“Sati, der Abschied” (Sati , the Farewell) describes the feeling of embarking on a voyage to unknown territories. Materially the women jumps onto the pyre, but is the fire really worse than what she leaves behind? She steps through a door of fire, a short pain of burning, to find liberation from her existence as a prisoner to her environmen’s condexes in death.

“Sati, der Abschied” beschreibt das Gef\u00fchl, zu einer Reise in unbekannte Territorien aufzubrechen. Materiell gesehen springt die Frau auf den Scheiterhaufen, aber ist das Feuer wirklich schlimmer als das, was sie zur\u00fcckl\u00e4sst? Sie tritt durch eine T\u00fcr aus Feuer, den kurzen Schmerz des Brennens, um im Tod Befreiung von ihrer Existenz als Gefangene der Moralvorstellungen ihrer Umwelt zu finden.
